The invention relates to a rotating electric motor (5) for operating an electric component. The motor is arranged for an operating movcmeni during a limited predetermined angular motion of ihc roior of the motor. An electric drive circuit (6) is arranged for the wind ing of the motor (5). According to the inven tion, the electric circuit ((6) exhilo bits at least one branch comprising an eleciric energy hank (7) and a thyristor (9 ) which are connected in series with the motor winding. The invention also relates to a method for breaking. a use of the invented motor, and an electric switch provided with a motor according to the invention.
