“Rotary Electrical Machine Such As An Alternator, Adaptable to Various Types of Motor Vehicle Engine.“

Application 257/DELNP/2004 published 2006-03-10, filed 2004-02-05
The invention concerns a rotary electrical machine such as an alternator, in particular for motor vehicle. Said machine is adaptable to different types of motor vehicle engines and comprises removable lugs (16) for fixing the machine on a fixed support such as a support integral with the vehicle engine and capable of being mounted on the peripheral surface of at least the front bearing (2), each between two lateral support surfaces (14) provided on said peripheral surface at a predetermined distance from each other, in the peripheral direction of the bearing. The machine is characterised in that one said lateral support surface (14) is formed by the lateral surface of a zone of extra thick material (12), which constitutes an assembly zone for the alternator and said fixing lug (16) is arranged between two opposite lateral support surfaces (14) and belonging to two adjacent assembly zones (12). The invention is useful for motor vehicle alternators.
