To attain perfect and hygienic cleaning of water storing gravity tank, the bottom surface is made smooth and plain and given with a down slope more than 1/22 inches towards a drain hole located at the centre of the bottom surface or at any point within in the bottom surface. This slop enable the sediments to flow down and get collected in the drain hole due to gravitational force. As the drain hole is connected to a drain valve below it, which when opened flush out the water along with the sediments, when entire water is drained out floating sediments also will be sent out. Just by opening the drain valve cleaning can be done and hygienic maintenance is possible. In conventional tank this type of cleaning is not possible. [Fig-3]
