A remotely controlled rural electrification system for an economic, synchronized and efficient supply of industrial, domestic and irrigational power; the system configured to: - distribute 11 KVA main supply via at least three feeder lines ( Li, L2, Ln) each capable of transmitting 3-phase and 1-phase; - accommodate a plurality of 3-phase distribution transformers (TI-Tn) provided at specified locations within the systems; - adapt a plurality of improved energy meter modules (EMM) disposed on the transformers( TI-Tn) poles; - control important parameters such as over-voltage, over-current, under-voltage, under current by remotely programmed limits through Infra-red (IR) communications; and - carry out meter-reading remotely including billing to the consumers.
