The present invention discloses a process for manufacturing dry type epoxy resin cast power/distribution transformer which the conductors of the coils are formed with at least one aluminium foils. Fibre glass Insulating sheets are placed between the Aluminum foils, the said aluminium foils and fibre glass sheets being wound together to form the coils. The coils are then cast with epoxy resin to form the epoxy resin cast coil. The fibre glass sheet provide the Inter-layer insulation between the foils.
