The present invention relates to an electric water heater with safety-feature of water flow restriction, comprising a water tank with an inlet opening and an outlet opening, an electric heating element, a water flow restriction monitoring circuit and an water flow restriction execution element; the sampling port of the water flow restriction monitoring circuit is connected to ground wire and /or metal parts contacting with water, the signal is transmitted from the signal output port of the water flow restriction monitoring circuit to the control signal input port of the water flow restriction execution element through a logic analysis circuit; the aforesaid water flow restriction execution element is installed in the water flow channel; the leakage electrical current of insulation water flow channel outlet opening is smaller than the safety electrical current under the water flow restriction. The present invention has a serial of advantages, such as timely alarming, imposing restriction on the water flow and better usage safety. Therefore the present invention incorporates the safety protection and safety alarming without any other special alarming devices.
