Prolonged use of such herbal compositions invariably results in loss of natural gloss and softness of hair. Moreover, lesions or scabies in the scalp require separate medication for their treatment. The present invention aims at overcoming the difficulties mentioned above and provides a herbal shampoo-cum-hair cleaning composition comprising - Ingredients Amounts in % wt. (a) Emblica officinalis (Amla) - 20 (b) Accacia concina (Shikakai) - 5 © Sapindus trifolatis (Reetha) - 20 (d) Eclipha alba (Bhringaraj) - 10 (e) Multani Mitti (clay mineral) - 25 (f) Malia aradirachta (Neem leaf + Heena powder) - 10 (g) Lawsonia alba (Mehendi) - 10 This invention also provides a process for preparing the above shampoo-cum-hair cleaning composition in a powdered form, which can be applied to hair after converting into a paste form by adding water.
