Conventional mode of treating rheumatism, inflammation, gout and joint pain and pain from sciatica due to nerve defects is usually done by administering pain killers and in some instances steroid derivatives like corticosteroids. Prolong administration of analgesics and also steroids may prove counter protective due to their adverse side effects. The presents invention aims at overcoming the afore-mentioned defects and provides a herbal composition for treating rheumatism, inflammation, joint pain and nerve defects, comprising – Ingredients Amount in % wt (i) Allium Sativum (Lahsun) - 10 (ii) Trigonelia foneumgracum (methi) - 10 (iii) Comniphora mukul (Gugul) - 10 (iv) Vita quadrangularis (Harsingar) - 10 (v) Witheria somnifer (Ashwagandha) - 7.5 (vi) Zingiber officinale (Sonth) - 10 (vii) Boswellia serrate (Shallaki) - 10 (viii) Foeniculum vudgare (Saunf) - 7.5 (ix) Piper longum (Pippal chhoti) - 7.5 (x) Gumiperus Somnunis (Chukundar) - 7.5 (xi) Suruva - 10 This invention also pertains to a process for preparing the aforesaid herbal composition in a powdery form without using any additional stabilizer.
