A process for the preparation of low-fat absorbing self-supporting films comprising the step. of: mixing a blond of 4 to 15% by weight of starch and 0.2 to 109 by weight of plasticizer. such as herein described and solvent to make a uniform suspension; pouring the suspension on a smooth plate, followed by spreading the suspension to form a film; drying said film, and; posing off the same to obtain the low-absorbing self-supporting films.
