A novel therapeutic agent for hyperlipemia which is an ester compound represented by the general formula (1"): (1") [wherein R1 and R2 each is hydrogen, optionally substituted aryl, etc.; X is -COO- or -CON(R10)-; R3 and R4 each is hydrogen, C1-6 alkyl, C1-6 alkoxy, etc.; R5, R6, and R7 each is hydrogen, C1-6 alkyl, C1-6 alkoxy, etc.; R8 and R9 are the same or different and each is hydrogen, C1-6 alkyl, -CON(R18)(R19), -COO(R20), etc.; rings A, B, and C are the same or different and each is aryl, a heterocycle residue, etc.; Alk1 and Alk2 are the same or different and each is alkanediyl, etc.; and l and m each is an integer of 0 to 3], a prodrug of the ester compound, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of either. The therapeutic agent selectively inhibits MTP in the small intestine and hence causes no side effects such as a fatty liver. (FIG. - 1)
