The invention relates to a device for introducing elements (4, 5) of a multi-winged sliding wall (1) into a resting mechanism (6). A resting track (7) branches off from a guide track in the area of the resting mechanism, said guide track guiding the elements. A travelling drive system (8) is allocated to each element (4). The invention is characterised in that the first element (5) situated adjacently to the resting mechanism (6) is mounted in the area of the free end of the guide track in such a way that it can pivot about an axis of rotation and is guided exclusively on the resting track (7) with its allocated drive system (8).
