A remote controlled water flow and drain system (130) for supplying and withdrawing water to and from a user apparatus (70) through a single water pipe (22) during different periods of time, includes a water passage (22) having two ends, one being for use with the user apparatus (70) such as a plant pot (70), and the other being connected to a reversible pump (150). The system (130) is controlled by a main controller (152), preferably in combination with a remote controller (34). The system (130) can be connected to both a water source (136) and a place (146) for drainage, selectively communicating with the water source (136) to supply water through the water passage (22) to the user apparatus (70) at one time, and at another time communicating the place (146) for drainage to withdraw water from the user apparatus (70) and deliver the withdrawn water to the place (146) for drainage (FIG.1).
