The invention relates to methods for the multiplication of viruses in a cell culture. According to the inventive methods, cells are infected with a virus, said cells being then cultivated in a cell culture, following the infection, under conditions which simultaneously enable multiplication of the viruses, and further targeted, at least two-fold multiplication of the cells. The invention also relates to the use of the viruses thus obtained or the proteins expressed by the same, for producing pharmaceuticals and diagnostic agents (FIG.NIL).
