This invention relates to an electro hydraulic grab for use with a cane unloader. The grab has a fixed unit having a plurality of fingers pivotally secured therewith on either sides thereof. A sliding unit supported on the sliding rods is connected with said fingers pivotally such that to close the grab upon moving the sliding unit downwardly by means of a rop drum provided above the sliding unit. According to the invention the hydraulic means is provided between said fixed unit and sliding unit such that to open the grab as and when required.
